Business Studies

The Business studies curriculum is designed to provide all students with an ambitious and inclusive understanding of enterprise, finance and the world of work. High expectations ensure that students develop confidence in analysing economic decision-making at personal, national and global levels.

The curriculum is carefully sequenced to build knowledge of business operations, finance, marketing and enterprise over time. Students apply theory to real-world contexts, developing analytical skills and the ability to evaluate information and make informed judgements.

Independent learning and collaboration are central to the subject. Students develop problem-solving, communication and organisational skills while engaging with contemporary business issues and current affairs.

Business studies prepares students for further study, employment and life beyond school. By the time students leave, they are financially literate, informed decision-makers equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate an increasingly complex economic world.
