PSHE

The PSHE curriculum reflects the belief that all students are entitled to a high-quality, inclusive education that prepares them for life beyond school. High expectations and equity underpin learning, ensuring students develop confidence, resilience and self-awareness.

The curriculum is carefully sequenced to address physical and mental health, relationships, safety, citizenship and future pathways in an age-appropriate manner. Knowledge and skills are built progressively, enabling students to make informed decisions and manage increasing responsibility.

PSHE supports personal development by fostering empathy, self-efficacy and the ability to seek support when needed. Lessons provide a safe environment for discussion, reflection and exploration of real-life challenges.

By the time students leave school, they are equipped with the knowledge, skills and understanding needed to manage wellbeing, relationships and responsibilities, preparing them to contribute positively to their communities and wider society.
