Welcome to our Home Learning page. This page will be updated regularly throughout the academic year, to ensure students have access to high-quality learning and revision resources.
Students will be guided on how to use these platforms effectively to access revision materials and support guides designed to help them revise successfully. Effective revision plays a vital role in students’ achievement in assessments, PPEs and final examinations.
At Sturminster Newton High School, we ensure that all students are provided with appropriate revision materials and have a clear understanding of how, what and when to revise. Subject-specific revision resources are shared through Google Classroom or TEAMS, with teachers offering clear guidance on the topics and knowledge students should focus on. Revision skills and techniques are built within our curriculum for each year group.
It is the aim of Sturminster Newton High School to make the examination experience as stress-free and successful as possible for all students. Hopefully, the information below will prove informative and helpful for both students and parents.
Teachers will also regularly set home learning tasks that focus on revision, helping students to prepare thoroughly and confidently for their assessments.
Students have access and subscription to a range of revision platforms that we encourage them to use. Sometimes students will be set specific tasks on these platforms, but they are also free to access any of the materials, at any time. Please see the three main platforms we use
