The Religious Education curriculum is rooted in the belief that every student is entitled to an inclusive and ambitious exploration of beliefs, values and worldviews. High expectations ensure that all students engage thoughtfully and respectfully with complex ideas.
The curriculum is carefully sequenced to develop knowledge of religious and non-religious worldviews over time. Students explore beliefs, practices and ethical questions, revisiting key concepts to deepen understanding and promote critical reflection.
RE provides a safe and respectful space for discussion, enabling students to articulate ideas, listen to others and consider different perspectives. Students develop skills of interpretation, evaluation and reflection as they explore life’s big questions.
Religious Education supports moral, social and cultural development. By the time students leave school, they are equipped with empathy, respect and critical awareness, enabling them to engage positively with diversity and contribute thoughtfully to society.
