Our SEND curriculum is underpinned by the belief that every student is entitled to an ambitious, inclusive and high-quality education. We work collaboratively with students, families and staff to remove barriers to learning and enable students with additional needs to succeed across the curriculum.
We prioritise the development of resilience, empathy and independence, supporting students to understand their strengths and needs as learners. Through carefully planned interventions and in-class support, students are empowered to develop confidence, self-advocacy and strategies that promote long-term success.
A strong focus on literacy and communication enables students to access learning across subjects, engage meaningfully with texts and express ideas clearly. Support is adaptive and responsive, ensuring learning is accessible while maintaining high expectations.
Our SEND provision promotes inclusion, wellbeing and preparation for adulthood. By fostering independence and informed decision-making, we support students to make positive choices for their future. The SEND curriculum is designed not only to support academic progress, but to equip students with the skills, confidence and self-belief needed to thrive beyond school.
